The client questionnaire is to help determine your web site needs and will help us to design a web site to fit your business. Also it will help you organize what information may be needed for us to create your web site.


Background:
  1. Type of business?
  2. Your target audience?

Message:

  1. Goals for your company web site and what you intend to accomplish.
  2. What is your main purpose and message you want to convey to your audience on your web site?

Perception:

  1. Use adjectives or descriptive words to describe the atmosphere of your business web site for your audience. (Examples: professional, conservative, friendly, formal, casual, serious, experts, humorous, service-oriented, etc)
  2. How is your company currently perceived? Do you want your web site to convey that same message?
  3. List web site examples that you have visited and enjoyed their design. What areas or features do you find interesting about these web sites?
  4. From the list of web site examples, list the functions that you want to see on your web site. Not all functions may be available, because there is a difference in server operating systems.

Style:

  1. List company colors or a color scheme you would like us to use?
  2. List and Describe any visual elements or styles that can be utilized from existing marketing materials.
  3. If we provide graphics, what style would you like them to be in: photography, illustration, cartoon, etc?

Content:

  1. Do you have content or wording for you web site? Or do you need us to help you create content for you.
  2. What is the basic structure of the content or wording, and how is it organized?
  3. Will you be requesting any sensitive information on your web site (social security numbers, credit card numbers)? If so, you may need to acquire a security certificate, if you want to reflect your own URL's name.. Or you may use ours at no charge.

Commerce Sites:

  1. List how many products do you plan on selling on your web site? Will you change or update the products often?
  2. Do your products have different specifications or variations? If so, do they apply to all the products? Does each product have different variations? List variations. (such as: size or color)
  3. What is your shipping format (flat rate, by total dollar amount, or by piece)?
  4. Will you be charging Sales Tax? If so, which state(s) will be charged? What is the sales tax rate or percentage for each?
  5. Are there any special pricing rules we need to know about (Ex: purchase 10 or more pieces, and receive a 10% discount.)?
  6. Which credit cards do you currently accept?
  7. Will you need online credit card authorization?
  8. Do you want to accept checks or purchase orders?

Marketing / Updating:

  1. What are your short-term marketing goals?
  2. How will this web site help to meet your marketing goals?
  3. Do you have an existing or planned marketing strategy in mind to promote this site? If so, please describe.
  4. List what you feel is your number one business problem? (Examples: change image, increase customers, promote company, customer service, etc.)
  5. What are methods of marketing you currently have in place for your exiting URL? (such as: banners, business cards, search engines, etc.)
  6. Do you intend on actively updating your site? If so, how often? Who is responsible for updating, your company or ACSI? Who is responsible for providing content?
  7. What are your budget limits? Can your web site be done in phases to help you meet your budget objective?
